How "Honey and Bunny" got started

Hi family and friends!

I hope to be able to figure out how to get photos and videos of Carter and update you on the continuing adventures of Honey and Bunny.

First the explanation for the blog name.  Over 10 years ago, our friend, Michelle coined "The adventures of Honey and Bunny".  Brian and I have always had these pet names for each other. I am Honey he is Bunny.  (Keep your comments to yourself.)  Anywhoozle, we seem to have very interesting things happen to us when together.

For example, he was sure my Toyota Camry could drive down a gravel river bank with out trouble.  I insisted it would not.  He insisted more strongly it would.  (After all, I'm just a girl, what do I know about cars.)  So, I trusted Brian was correct.  Needless to say the car got stuck in gravel and sand covering half of the front tires.

I just had major surgery and could not lift over five pounds.  Halean, Brian's sister along for the ride, had a broken wrist.  Who the heck would be pushing the car out of the sand???  I should also mention it was early August around 3:00 PM and all we have with us to drink are two beers.

Brian decides he will jog into civilization for help. (About 10-15 miles.)  He takes a towel to help wipe the sweat from his brow and takes off.

Halean and I are trying not to panic.  We tried walking to the rivers edges to find peace and get cooled off, but were swarmed by horse flies.  We returned to the car afraid to keep the windows rolled down too far.  I didn't know there were so many varieties of flying insects.  Anyone who knows me can see me starting to have this panic attack.

We knew we had to just wait.  If Brian didn't run into a car on the road, we would be there for at least two-three hours.  Just in time for the spiders to come out and make webs in my car.  Not a big fan of spiders.

After about 30 seriously long minutes a truck is driving towards us.  We get out of the car and Brian is in the freakin' truck with a couple of guys!  He was able to wave them down with his towel!  They had just purchased a pulley-rope thing and pulled us out in a matter of minutes.

Halean and I chugged the beer and Brian promptly drove us home.

That is just one perilous adventure Brian has so graciously taken me on.
Just one of many adventures of Honey and Bunny.
